About the Role:
As a Junior Test Engineer - Automation, you will be responsible for organizing and conducting software testing based on functional, non-functional, and interface specification requirements. Your duties will include preparing system artifacts, developing and implementing quality control tests to ensure product quality and efficiency, following up on defect fixes with development teams, and supporting users in acceptance testing.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s Degree or Honors in Engineering/Computer Science/Mathematics/Sciences/Commerce or Equivalent
- Minimum 2 years of job-related experience
- Strong understanding of Software Testing Life Cycle (STLC)
- Hands-on experience in automation scripts with Selenium/Appium and Cucumber (advantageous)
- Experience in disaster recovery testing, security testing, and usability testing (added advantage)
- Experience with cloud platforms like BrowserStack for testing mobile apps and websites
- Ability to monitor QA activities, track defects, and present testing metrics
- Excellent analytical and customer-facing skills
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop & Maintain test cases according to requirements acceptance criteria
- Document defects in the bug tracking system and track them to closure
- Communicate testing progress and write detailed test reports
- Collaborate with developers, project managers, and other teams to resolve software issues
- Create test plans for regression, system integration, Load & Performance, and UAT tests
- Perform various types of testing, including smoke, functional, front-end, and regression testing
- Design and develop automation tests to improve regression test scope
- Conduct UAT Defect Analysis to mitigate future occurrences
