Job Purpose and Impact:
As a Software Engineer at Cargill, you will maintain, integrate, and implement software applications. Your role will involve software testing, quality assurance, configuration, and support for the seamless implementation of updates and new software applications.
Key Accountabilities:
- Participate in prioritizing and implementing application enhancements and defect resolutions.
- Conduct software testing, debug systems, and ensure smooth software deployment.
- Program and document systems and application software based on business requirements.
- Analyze business needs and write detailed technical specifications.
- Provide input for system technology strategies and ensure compliance with software standards.
- Solve moderately complex issues independently, and escalate complex issues when needed.
Qualifications:
Minimum Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in a related field or equivalent experience.
Preferred Skills:
- Experience with Python, especially using web frameworks like Django.
- Proficiency in scripting languages (Python, PowerShell), and Linux.
- Knowledge of ORM libraries and database integration.
- Familiarity with front-end technologies (ReactJS, JavaScript, HTML5, CSS3).
- Experience with user authentication, multi-system environments, Git repositories, CI/CD, and automated testing tools like Selenium.
