Job Description:
As a Software Engineer for Test amp; Release at Sasken Technologies, you will work on system analysis, design, and implementation, contributing to improving existing systems. You will operate in a high-tech environment, solving complex problems related to protocol testing in 2G, 3G, LTE, and 5G technologies. Key responsibilities include:
- Designing, coding, testing, and bug-fixing software applications
- Creating and executing test plans for network scenarios (signaling & user plane call flow)
- Collaborating with team members to deliver tasks on time while ensuring quality
- Automation using scripting languages like Python and PERL
Required Skills and Technologies:
- Proficiency in scripting languages (Python, PERL, Shell scripting)
- Knowledge of 3GPP Radio Access Technologies (2G/3G/4G/5G)
- Experience with network testing tools (QXDM, QCAT, Prism, Anritsu)
- Understanding of network signaling, Layer 2, Layer 3 protocols
Technologies and Platforms:
This role requires working on various customer-specific platforms, understanding test instruments, and utilizing tools such as RTD for scripting, along with core dump analysis tools. Familiarity with Linux and automation frameworks is essential.
