Required Technical and Professional Expertise
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or related fields
- Understanding of software development cycle and quality control
- Strong problem-solving skills
- Knowledge of Relational Database concepts and technologies
- Programming skills in Java, C++, Python, and scripting languages
Preferred Technical and Professional Expertise
- IBM Certified: Db2 for z/OS administrator or similar certification
- Experience with IBM Db2 for z/OS and Linux administration
- Additional programming skills in C, C++, REXX, JCL, Scripting, Cobol, and Assembler are advantageous
- Understanding of software scalability testing and automation tooling
- Basic network configuration knowledge
Your Role and Responsibilities
We are looking for a skilled Backend Developer to join our Db2 for z/OS team, focusing on the Query Accelerator component. You will be responsible for stress testing new features and fixes, as well as recreating customer problems. Collaborate closely with development to understand and test new features early in the design process. Your role includes monitoring and maintaining test systems for optimal performance.
