Job Description
ECI offers an exciting opportunity for a Security Ops Center Associate. This role involves analyzing and responding to network security events, conducting threat actor-based investigations, and providing first-level support for incident response and monitoring functions. You'll engage in proactive monitoring and response to threats, utilizing SIEM, IDS/IPS, Firewall, VPN, EDR, and AV security products.
Who You Are
- 0 – 1 year of experience in IT, preferably in a SOC environment.
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science/IT/Electronics Engineering, MCA, or equivalent.
- Certifications: CCNA, CEH, CHFI.
- Knowledge of SIEM, IDS/IPS, Firewall, VPN, EDR, AV, TCP/IP network traffic, and event log analysis.
- Familiar with ITIL disciplines such as Incident, Problem, and Change Management.
- Willingness to work 24/7 operations.
- Strong communication skills and an analytical mindset.
What You Will Do
- Proactively monitor and respond to network threats.
- Conduct threat actor-based investigations and support incident response.
- Perform event investigation, triage, and escalation.
- Document and present findings on security incidents.
- Collaborate to mitigate and counteract threats.
- Perform email analysis and categorize emails.
- Stay updated on security trends and best practices.
- Communicate with business representatives, technology specialists, customers, and vendors.
- Improve knowledge of information security and prevent phishing attempts.
