Job Role
The role of Software Engineer at BrowserStack involves working remotely from anywhere in India. This position is open to freshers with 0-2 years of experience and is a great opportunity for graduates from the batches of 2022, 2023, and 2024 with a degree in B.E/B.Tech or M.E/M.Tech.
Key Qualifications
- B.E/B.Tech/M.E/M.Tech degree
- Experience: 6 months to 2 years
- Strong proficiency in at least one scripting language: Ruby, Node.js, Python, AppleScript, Unix shell, or similar
- Familiarity with a compiled language: C, Java, Go, or similar
- Good understanding of operating systems and networking concepts
- Hands-on experience with Windows and/or Linux OS, including file systems, kernels, custom installations, and shell scripting
- Problem-solving skills and a startup mentality
Job Responsibilities
- Write high-quality code and participate in code reviews
- Design and architect systems of varying complexity
- Lead team meetings, stand-ups, and architecture discussions
- Improve frameworks, tools, and processes for better efficiency
- Work on web applications, backend systems, and other technologies
- Research new technologies and adapt them for BrowserStack
- Write efficient SQL queries and design database schemas
- Develop scalable, high-performance user-centric applications
- Ensure all work is unit tested, code reviewed, and integrated regularly
