Job Description:
We are looking for a Software Engineer to join our team. If you meet the minimum qualifications listed below, we encourage you to apply. Preferred qualifications are an added advantage but not mandatory.
Minimum Requirements:
- Bachelor’s, Master’s, or PhD degree in Computer Science or a related field, expected by summer 2025, or equivalent work experience.
- Experience in programming through coursework, side projects, or internships. We primarily use Java, Ruby, JavaScript, Scala, and Go, but a solid understanding of programming fundamentals is key.
- Experience working collaboratively on multi-person coding projects, either in a university or professional setting.
- Ability to quickly learn and understand unfamiliar systems through independent research and collaboration with mentors and subject matter experts.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Specialized knowledge in one or more areas, such as frontend technologies, and a broad understanding of how services handle HTTP requests.
- Experience in code review practices and understanding of safe production system updates.
- Familiarity with large code bases and how to manage and navigate them.
