Role Overview
As a Cloud Engineer at Verizon, you will contribute to the creation, operation, and support of Cloud and DevOps Platform-based Products and Services for mission-critical applications. Your responsibilities will include provisioning, deploying, and configuring AWS applications using CI/CD automation, managing enterprise applications in On-prem and Cloud (AWS/EKS/OCI) environments, and defining and building CI/CD pipelines.
Key Responsibilities
- Provision, deploy, and configure AWS applications as per solution architecture using CI/CD automation.
- Manage, troubleshoot, and support enterprise applications in On-prem and Cloud environments in a 24x7 support model.
- Define and build CI/CD pipelines and automation using DevOps and SRE frameworks.
- Troubleshoot production issues and provide automated fixes wherever possible.
Work Location
This is a hybrid role where you will work from home and at an assigned office location as per your manager’s guidance.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree or one or more years of work experience.
- Experience in a 24x7 production support model with strong troubleshooting skills in managing infrastructure on On-prem and Cloud environments (AWS/EKS/OCI) on Unix/Linux platforms.
- Skills in troubleshooting, load balancing, clustering, deploying applications, performance tuning, and moving manual operations to automation using standard DevOps/SRE toolsets.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience with DevOps products like GitLab, Jira, Jenkins, Artifactory, etc.
- Understanding of provisioning, operating, and managing AWS environments.
